About Amy Bradley Radford

From Burnout to Balance—And Helping Therapists Get There, Too

I didn’t plan on becoming a teacher. Or a coach. Or a guide for hundreds of massage therapists trying to build a career that doesn’t run them into the ground.

I just wanted to help people heal—and find a way to make it work without giving up my own health in the process.

But after 30+ years in the field, here’s what I’ve learned:
Healing work is sacred—but without a foundation, it’s not sustainable.

I’ve been the overworked therapist, juggling sessions, parenting, and just trying to make ends meet. I’ve also been the confident practitioner with a full practice, steady income, and deep satisfaction in my work. That didn’t happen by accident—it happened because I figured out how to build systems, set boundaries, understand pain patterns deeply, and run a business like a pro… while still leading with heart.

My Path in a Nutshell:

  • 30+ years as a licensed massage therapist

  • Start up consultant for 3 separate massage schools

  • National educator and speaker on business and pain management

  • Creator of advanced training and mentorship programs

  • Developer of innovative approaches to scar tissue behavior and chronic pain

  • Business coach to hundreds of massage therapists nationwide

  • Advocate for turning healing work into sustainable careers

Why I Teach Now

Because it breaks my heart when good therapists burn out.

Because I know the power of having the right teacher at the right time.

Because I believe this profession is filled with people who want to do meaningful work—and they deserve the tools to thrive, not just survive.

I’ve seen too many massage therapists with incredible hands and huge hearts give up because no one ever showed them how to run a business, market authentically, or heal without depleting themselves.

That’s why I created my training programs.
That’s why I coach.
That’s why I’m here.

Who I Am Outside the Office

I’m a teacher, mentor, lifelong learner, wife, and a mom. I believe coffee is a food group, love to disappear in a book, cry during medical documentaries, and believe in equal parts intuition and science. I’ve walked through my own health challenges, raised a family, and built a life I’m proud of—because of this work, not in spite of it.

My style? Compassionate, honest, a little bit nerdy, and a little bit no-nonsense. I’ll hold space for your fears and give you a spreadsheet when you need it. I believe growth doesn’t have to feel like pressure—and sometimes the biggest shifts happen when you just feel truly heard.

If You’re Still Reading…

You’re probably someone who cares deeply about your clients, your work, and your future. Me too.

I’d love to get to know you and help you take the next step in your journey.
